My first time Harrison's Harbor Watch was a horrible experience. I ordered lemon pepper basil chicken w/ wild rice and redskin mash potatoes as my two endless sides ( the endless aspect was the best part of the meal for me.) When my meal came, at a reasonable time the lemon pepper basil chicken was lukewarm and my sides were also. The chicken had a overwhelming taste of lemon like I was eating pure lemons instead of chicken. As for my sides they were very blan little taste at all. All in all Harrison's should just stick to the Harbor Watching and stop selling food as a focal point of their business.

Harrison's Harbor Watch Restaurant provides diners with all the great things Ocean City has to offer.....from the fresh bounty of the Atlantic Ocean and Bay to the spectacular views of the inlet..... the food is great!!! Their menu and rawbar are awesome. They have great daily specials and many times feature unlimited side dishes with an entree.... The views of the Inlet and Atlantic Ocean that diners will enjoy while eating, the menu, rawbar and daily specials make this restaurant one of the best places to eat in Ocean City.

I think the raw bar here has to be the BEST in OC! The view makes the trip worthwhile as well. Where else can you sit down enjoy great food, adult beverages and watch boats do out of the inlet? No where! I recently was in and had the crab dip and grilled mahi mahi. What a wonderful and delicious meal!

Another visitation Harrison's which again was well worth it. We sat at the raw bar again trying to get the courage to try the oysters which I didn't. What's ordered was a filet with grab, vegetables, and rice. Before this outstanding meal I had shrimp cocktail. This place is a must stop when your here. One of the many benefits insists at the end of the boardwalk so you can eat and do the boardwalk all in one. Don't think you should do both at once because Harrison's is well worth the stop alone.

My wife loved the mussels, says they were the BEST she ever had, service was fast our meal was enjoyed by the entire family. We will be back next time we come to town.

My mom and I had dinner here last night. After a 35 minute wait on a Monday evening during the off season, we were seated. No big deal. My fault I didn't make reservations. We ordered immediately since our wait gave us time to review the menu. The crab dip, while flavorful, is mostly cream cheese, very little crab. Our main entrees did not arrive until 50 minutes after we ordered. During this time I witnessed an employee make a comment about the "damn busers" and a separate comment saying "I am going to kill them". It was very unprofessional. When our food finally arrived I was terribly disappointed. The seasonal vegetables looked and tasted like it came from a bag of overlooked Birdseye brocoli blend. The mango salas that accompanied my rockfish looked like canned fruit salad to which onion and cilantro had been added. Our waitress was very sweet but not very attentive as her manager allowed her to write 10 separate checks for a neighboring party (nice for them, not for us). I would have liked to ask for a differnt sauce to replace the fruit salad, oops, I mean mango salsa. In addiction the restaurant is very loud. It was not a positive dining experience. I suggest going to The Angler. It too, can sometimes be loud, but we have never been disappointed by the food or service (ate there the night before, among other times) and it's cheaper!

I was here last Saturday for a bachelorette party. We had reservations for 6:15 but, because of traffic, our transportation was late in picking us up and we ran even later because we got stuck in traffic. We ended up getting there around 7:15 and they still had our table ready for us. Hooray! They took about 10 minutes to seat us because they couldn't find menus for us. We convinced them to let us sit down until they found menus. They were able to give us two menus for our group of 17 people. Surprisingly, we all figured out what we wanted quickly. Our server gave us all waters but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We got a few appetizers-- chicken tenders, crab dip, bruschetta, and another dish that I didn't eat. The chicken tenders and crab dip were fine but nothing special. They also gave us two small baskets of bread for our entire group. They later gave us additional baskets during dinner but, needless to say, the two original baskets were devoured within seconds since there were so many of us. Our meals came out somewhat quickly-- we were all just beginning to ask where's our food when it came out. Our group got different dishes but no one seemed particularly impressed with their food. I got the crabcake sandwich. There wasn't any lump crabmeat and it wasn't particularly flavorful but I was starving so I ate it all quickly. It came with a pickle (yum!), cole slaw, and fries. I'm not a fan of cole slaw so I can't offer my thoughts on it except that it was a large serving. The fries were good but kind of dry. Our waitress took a long time getting our check to us (we split our group in half and paid cash for everything) so we were kind of annoyed at the end of the meal but excited to get on our way. Fast forward another hour... several of us had crabcakes (myself included) and we all started feeling sick. Some of the girls ended up cutting the night short because they felt so bad and some of us ended up getting sick. Only the girls that had the crabcakes felt this way so I would STRONGLY suggest to NOT get any kind of crabcake dish here. One person from our group has contacted management about our group getting sick and is waiting to hear back from the owner.

Our table's meals sadly weren't as good as last time, and when you're paying the same high prices (20-30 dollars) the bad meals really stand out. My meal of the Seafood pasta in a vodka sauce was actually still very good, but I have to lower my score for the meals my mates at the table had. One of them had Crab-cakes and Fried Shrimp, the shrimp were good but nothing amazing, and the crab-cakes were very mediocre. The other meal was the Fried Seafood Platter, and the whole plate was fried a couple minutes too long, and the breading was very basic, it basically just tasted like what you can get at any of the buffets or at Seafood Restaurants back in Pennsylvania. As for the endless sides, the fries were good, the rice was bland, the vegetables were under-done, the coleslaw was good, and the potatoes were OK. The bread they served was pretty good, and with the coupon we all had very good Shrimp Coctail. Overall, I'm not sure if we'll come back here next year, I do like the view for most of the seating, and the parking lot that gave you a chance to check out the end of the boardwalk without worrying about riding the bus, walking a couple miles, or paying for parking. This is a nice place, but you might just want to stay away from the fried seafood dishes.

We were having such a hard time trying to find a good restaurant and we came across with this place on Yelp. Reviews were ok so we gave them a shot. HUGE MISTAKE! This place was mediocre all around. Our server was really attentive and friendly, kind of awkward and she was definitely trying way to hard to be funny. But we were ok with that. She actually kept us entertained. The food was very plain, the presentation was not what we were expecting at all. My boyfriend asked for Mahi Mahi with mango and pineapple sauce - he got a mahi mahi plain plain not even salt on the damn fish. We tried to fix it with some lemon, pepper and salt but nothing worked. I had the shrimp with crab meat. Not impress just ok. You will get trick with the unlimited sides potatoes mediocres, veggies =plain. My boyfriend actually liked the apple sauce :) Drinks were good :) I wouldn't recommend this place AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never coming back here!

Good location, good customer service but my mahi mahi came out dry and overcooked. We came with party of 6 and ordered 3 entrees because some of us already ate. When the bill came, it's very to be $215 for 3 main entrees plus 6 beers and 2 extra crab cakes came in addition to our entrees. We r ok w the bill being this much because of its location but they DARE charging us sharing fees ($14.50) because we share our meals. How ridiculous?? We won't come back to this restaurant again.

The Raw Bar is a must do OC experience! The restaurant is pretty accurately reviewed in other posts: sometimes it's amazing, sometimes it's just okay. Service is usually top notch and the view is impressive, especially if you're lucky enough to get a window seat. Some may consider it too pricey. But the Raw Bar.... You get to watch fresh seafood be turned into delectable dishes. Watching the bartenders work is amazing. If you are lucky enough to catch Tom & Lori together then you get to see two masters at work. The oyster stew is fantastic, creamy and flavorful. The portion I had last Saturday had several LARGE oysters. 20 minutes to make and there may be a queue. But you can pass the time by enjoying a drink, the super yummy crab dip, or a pound of steamed shrimp (plain or spicy), or all three! If you enjoy cracking some fresh crab legs, this is the place. King or snow, very fresh; sublime. We hit OC 2 or 3 times a year, and spend at least one night at the raw bar with each visit. Great way to spend a few hours.

I had my rehearsal dinner here the night before the wedding. Besides the fact that they couldn't find record of our reservation, even though we scheduled four months in advance, the food and service was amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

After a day of the hustle and bustle of the arcades, shops and rides, along with sand in your feet, irritating salt water in your eyes, junk food and beverages along the boardwalk, believe me, you're looking forward to a relaxing moment or two and a real good meal - this is the place on the beach for it! Of course it's touristy, of course they want you in and out as soon as possible, and of course it's not the best meal in the world... but for a tourist town, on the beach and convenient, with a great view of the inlet, it is definitely a place we would go back to! We started up with the Deep Blue Margarita, Sierra Mist and a Fat Tire Beer. Our main courses consisted of Seafood Au Gratin, which although a little too saucy for my taste, was actually very tasty, a Lobster Ravioli which was OK, and a Swordfish with Chimichurri which I don't think the Chef knows what chimichurri really is! Compared to the rest of the sit down places on the boardwalk, this ranks exceptional - just don't compare it with real culinary delights off the boardwalk. Worth a try!

The oyster stew is the best I have ever had. Sitting at the bar, Micki made it right in front of us with freshly shucked oysters, Harvey's Bristol Cream, fresh cream etc. Would give it and the service 6 stars if I could.

Poop. I had such high expectations for my recent visit to Harrison's having gone regularly as a child and teen. I brought two friends here with raving recommendations. We got there just before 9:00 pm so there was no wait. We were seated by a window upstairs. All good so far. The service kinda sucked. My friend was given her salad - that's all she'd ordered - right away. My other friend and I ordered dinner entrees that did not come with salad. So friend (A) ate her salad while we watched. And waited. About 30 minutes after she was given her salad our meals arrived. Not cold, but not hot. And only so-so tasting (we both ordered the crab cake dinners). The waitress came to check on us once. When we were more than 1/2 way through our meals. I went to the bar to get a drink refill after waiting and wondering if the waitress would ever be around. She was friendly enough but far from attentive. Before leaving I went to the restroom - which was hotter than Hell - and upon entering saw three servers standing around the sink yapping about what they were doing later that night and how much they'd made in tips and how their tables were. Really??? Come on Harrison's. You are an institution. I know you can do better.

It is the Fourth of July week. One would expect all restaurants in Ocean City would be All Hands on Board...Harrison's was not. During one of our morning vacation boardwalk walks, my husband and I had eyeballed the restaurant and their menu. I wanted to make this restaurant the place to eat on our final vacation day. On that day, we headed to the restaurant around 1pm for lunch. As we entered the restaurant, we noticed a number of families were turned away. We approached the hostess who was seemingly beleaguered with answering incoming phone calls on the business line and telling prospective customers, including me and my husband, that the wait time will be 40 minutes or more. The reason for the wait time, as she explained, was due to there being only one server for the entire restaurant...sad....especially during Fourth of July week. If I were the owner, I would be serving tables. Would have loved to try the food to give a complete review. Better luck next year. Lessons learned for the owner?

Pay for the view not the food. Probably the best view at the inlet. The food was passable at best. The service was on the ball kept the drinks refilled and were super nice but the food was so bad that I doubt my husband and I will be back.

I came here with a total of 5 people on a Sunday night in August without a reservation. To prevent waiting, we agreed to sit at a bar table. We didn't realize there was no wait staff in the bar area. So we had to go up to the bar to order our drinks and place an order. No biggie - just seemed like they could easily add a cocktail waitress. I wasn't too hungry so just went with the soup and salad. OMG - seafood chowder was the best soup EVER. A couple friends ordered the seafood pastas - and both liked it. The other two got a fish entree of some sort which comes with unlinmited sides. That is awesome! Restaurant has great views. Prices are reasonable for th elocation - anticipate about $25/person.

YOU MUST TRY THE RAW CLAMS! The best raw clams I ever had. Period. Came here for lunch couple years ago and sat at the raw bar. Was amazed by the raw oysters and the oyster stew. This time we went for dinner and ordered a dozen of raw oysters and clams to share. The oysters were fresh, and OMG the raw clams, they are HUGE and very fresh! I've tried raw clams several times everywhere and most of them still have fishy taste. Not here! Each of us ordered something for entree. I got the seafood pasta. The portion was huge but the pasta was over cooked. It wasn't bad, but by comparing to their raw stuff, I kinda regret that not spending the same amount of money on another 2 dozens of raw clams. Although we were so stuffed, I persuaded my friends to get the oyster stews. However, we were a little under-whelmed. The stew was too salty to our taste. I don't know if they changed the recipe or what. It was not as good as what I had years ago... But overall, you won't go wrong if you get your stuff from the raw bar. I would still come here next time I visit Ocean City!

We went for dinner and started off with a dozen bay oysters (if you like oysters they are a must here). For entrees we ordered the blackened tilapia which was fantastic. A large filet of fish that was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. Then we ordered the lobster ravioli which was the best lobster ravioli I've ever had. The cream sauce is to die for. I also loved the unlimited sides, the coke slaw and red potatoes were my favorite. This was my 5th time to visit Harrison's and it has Always been good. The only thing I've ever ordered that I didn't like was the carribean mahi which was overcooked and dry.

The food was good BUT getting to the point where we actually got the food was terrible. We had a reservation for 10 but when we got to Harrison's they looked confused. They had the reservation but had no table for us. The place was not very busy so it was difficult to understand what the problem was. We didn't end up getting seated until 7:30 (for a 7:00 reservation) and ended up at 3 different tables! We didn't get our food until about 8:30. The food was good but their complete disorganization was very disappointing and kinda ruined our family dinner. There are too many options in OCMD to deal with this, we'll go elsewhere next vacation.

This place was mediocre all around. It was not a good way to start the evening when the waitress said she could not serve me alcohol because my ID was vertical instead of horizontal. (it's a govt issued id!!) She also said she could not accept a coupon that we accidentally left in the car (understandable, but worth noting) They were out of soft shell crabs... From there she continued to forget requests we made and asked us if we were done prematurely several times. The food was ok, but WAY too expensive for what it was. The kind of place that relies on your overkill of appetizers before you get your food. My aunt said that her "wild rice" side was rice-a-roni.. This place is ok if you want to spend too much, for a family meal environment

Great location, view of the inlet, friendly service, no waiting, good place for family. A little on the pricey side, but nice seafood selection. Dining room is large, so good place to go without reservations on a saturday night.

This was my 2nd visit to Harrison's. The food is top notch with an incredible view of the inlet, assateague island. The portion sizes are just right. Prices are high but what nice food joints down here arent high in price unless you want to eat at a slop joint. Service is always stellar! Highly recommend trying :)

My family parked in the Harrison's parking lot. We got our parking receipt validated for two free hours at Harrison's. 45 minute wait on a Monday night in late August. Took a walk on the boardwalk. We got back in 30 min and our table was ready. Place is modeled like a fishing boat long and narrow. We ordered the crab dip - overly cheesy. Tomato crab soup was better and spicy. Main foods were excellent. Wife had Talapia, I had rockfish. Lump crab meat was amazing. Solid choice.

View is awesome any time of the day or night. Crab cake was disappointing. Ahi tuna was great. Soups are good. Children's menu is perfect. Service is marginal except at raw bar..that service is great.

After finally making it past the front desk, a process that took 40 minutes for my party of 7 the seating was horrid. I have never been made to feel like such a second class citizen for not having a reservation. What made matters worse was when we were seated the service was slow and the food was of poor quality. The $33 steak was served cold and the coleslaw was warm. My daughter and wife both had hamburgers that were served with stale buns (hard and crusty) and my friend's lemon chicken was served cold. He said it was as if someone mixed lemon aide and milk and poured it over chicken. This place has gone down hill. We used to love Harrisons but after tonight we will not be returning. It was simply awful.

This place has a great location, high prices, but the food is prepared carelessly, served cold and overcooked. The food seems like it has all been sitting in a lukewarm heat lamp for hours. This was a bad choice for what should have been a lovely date night. The view is so nice that the poor food really is surprising.

We went in the offseason and the hostess sat us immediately without a reservation with an ocean view. The waitress, Wanda, was so helpful (offered to adjust the overhead fan and lighting to our liking) and friendly without being overbearing. She immeditaely brought us fresh bread, and chocolate and corn muffins. The raw Chincoteague oysters were plump and fresh, the blackened rockfish wasn't overly breaded or greasy and came with unlimited sides (and a free glass of wine with a coupon), the lobster ravioli was light, and the seared ahi tuna with seaweed salad was fresh. The latter two were appetizers that I had for my main course. ~$60 total. It was a perfect place for a romantic night out.

My review is for the bar section at Harrisons as we have not eaten at the restaurant yet. We go to Harrisons every year specifically for their "world famous oyster stew". It is only served in the bar and has a hefty price and 40 minute wait (because it is made to order), but it is worth every minute and penny spent. I am not a fan of oysters but the stew is one of the best things I have ever tasted. It is sweet, salty, savory, spicy and just heavenly. We also get the mussels which are an appetizer and they are also ahhhhmazing!! The mussels themselves are good quality and fresh but what really makes this dish is the garlicky butter goodness at the bottom of the bowl. I could drink it with a straw, it is that good! We always ask for extra bread to dip in it. The downside of sitting at the bar is that there is no wait service at the tables so you do have to order and pick up food at the bar. Once you try the stew and mussels though you realize it is so worth it!! Or you could just get a seat at the bar if available and enjoy watching the bartenders make the stew, because they make it right at the bar on the right side. Now these are the only 2 items we have eaten so I can't vouch for the other food, but I did notice that you get unlimited sides with the entrees so that would be a plus for an extra hungry person. Trust me on this though, go there, sit at the bar, and get the oyster stew and mussels, remember to ask for extra bread and maybe extra oyster crackers too. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Came here on a Sunday night for a late dinner. The place was pretty empty. Our waitress was very friendly, even took our picture for us TWICE! I am not a seafood person so I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta but asked to have chicken instead of shrimp. The waitress asked the chef and the substitution was no problem. Wonderful! It was yummy! Also, they offer unlimited side dishes with your entree. Score!

Very rude , snobbish no customer service at all avoid at all costs... Place was empty but customer service was bad no one say us down ... We eventually sat ourselves down then they made us stand up and walk out coz we didn't have reservations ... Why did u tell us to walk in and sit ourselves in the place?,!!!

Harrison's definitely deserves a higher rating in Yelp than three stars. Tonight we were charmed by our attentive waiter, Brock, who couldn't do enough for us. As we watched the "Marlin" Boats pass by the windows and the Wild Ponies across the Inlet, we sipped our tasty Orange Crushes. When dinner arrived, I was stunned at the size of my 'Signature Seafood Pasta', which had 1/2 dozen mussels, 1/2 dozen shrimp, and a ton of small scallops and crabmeat. A fabulous blend of flavors which melted in my mouth! I had it with the Tomato-Basil Lobster Cream Sauce, which was to die for! (You have choices of sauce-Alfredo, Marinara, Garlic & Butter or the Tomato Basil. My cousin had the baked "Seafood Au Gratin", which was a beautiful blend of scallops, shrimp and crabmeat baked in a "melt-in-your-mouth" cheese sauce. A perfect dining experience in every way! In our book, Harrison's Harbor Watch continues to be the very finest restaurant on the Boardwalk, and we have been faithful customers since its opening in the 1980's.

Where do I start? OK first and foremost the food served did not match the ingredients on the menu! That alone is enough to give a "expensive" restaurant the lowest score. However that is not where it stops the unlimited sides make sense because they are so bad nobody would want more than one. I got sour applesauce undercooked vegetables and horrible coleslaw. Finally the crab cakes absolutely uses fillers although they claim not to. It is very clear that this is a tourist trap for the view only not the food. This statement is supported as we had an early seating by the window and the sun was scorching so I promptly pulled down the shade as to have an enjoyable meal well ten minutes into my meal a very rude young girl practically knocked me out of my chair intruded upon our dinning area and wound the shade up so we could roast allowing people at the bar to look out!!!! At a minimum she should of asked us if it was ok or explained that other people would like to see the view not just push us out of the way and roll up the shade that I obviously just pulled halfway down for a reason. (I did it so you could still see out but not get roasted from the sun) I would never again go to this place especially for $360 for a party of four!

So we expected a decent dinner with a nice view. What we got, the most inattentive service, the worst filet mignon ever all for $130 for 2 of us. We asked around for a good seafood restaurant during our stay, locals all said Harrison Harbor. We gave it a try, big mistake. For $52 my boyfriend had a lobster tail (which he said was good) paired with a filet ordered medium rare and came out medium well. We might have told the server had she ever checked back with us. Not only was the temp wrong but it had absolutely no flavor and was not tender in the least. I had the steamed seafood combination (crab legs, oysters, mussels, clams) decent enough but had much better mussels further up boardwalk at Hammerheads. I would never recommend or return to Harrison Harbor Watch. Very disappointing meal.

(6/27/2015) Stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday. Looked like a healthy bar crowd, we tried to sit there for lunch first, but no indication that anyone was going to attend to us so moved to a dining room table (with a view). Harrison's is one of those stalwarts that has anchored the Boardwalk for over 100 years. It's the kind of place you go to for the view rather than the food; the overhead is pricey and thus, so is the menu. It's your standard American seafood restaurant so plenty of broiled or fried seafood platters, sometimes local, more often than not, not. We started with a nice Smoked Rainbow Trout appetizer that came with warm herbed flatbreads, capers, red onion and a really tasty mustard sauce with flecks of cayenne. The fish was a good sized single filet (one side) with ample lemon pepper seasoning, hot-smoked. This was a promising start. The Maryland Crab Soup was a large bowl, tasted mostly like Campbell's Chunky Beef Stew with some strands of backfin and claw; vegetables in it were from frozen succotash mix (minus the lima beans). A side salad with a "balsamic" dressing was almost inedible, was def not balsamic; if I had to guess, I'd say soy sauce to make it brown, white sugar to make it sweet, and distilled white vinegar to make it sharp, and some mayo for creaminess. The Crab Cake was a decent size, all backfin, no lumps, deep-fried until crusty, exterior of commercial breadcrumbs, significant breadcrumb filler, somewhat bland. 1/2 lb. Steamed Shrimp were U25-U30, shrimp looked like it may be been through several freeze-thaw cycles, not de-veined, and had a barely perceptible dusting of J.O. seasoning, def not like the good shower of seasoning we're used to in the Bay area. Would guess most of the food has been dumbed-down for the tourist crowd. Service at the sit-down tables was attentive and friendly. Overall, I wouldn't eat here again (prices not worth what you get), might get a drink at the bar during happy hour (since that, too, overlooks the jetty) after that stroll on the Boardwalk.

Excellent place for seafood. Very nice atmosphere. Had a window seat overlooking the channel feeding the bay. I had a fried seafood platter that was very good. However the menu was very extensive. If you're looking for seafood this is the place. The server apparently got our order mixed up because it took a long time to get our food compared to other customers who were seated after us. Other than that it was all good.

One of our favorite restaurants in OC. Eat there at least once a week in summer. The staff is the best. The oyster stew is wonderful. It's homemade to order at The Raw Bar. One of my favorite dishes is the Lobster Ravioli. We have been coming here for over 15 years and it just gets better. So I feel the rating is wrong. This is a must try and you we see for yourself. The fresh fish is also delicious, prepared several ways.

We went late, there wasn't a lot of people there, but they sat us at the very last table by the exit door, so people kept bumping into us when they left.. Food was ok, clams casino was delicious! I got a broiled seafood meal, good size portions, reasonably priced at $29, for crab legs, jumbo shrimp, corn and a 1/4 piece of tilapia with crab imperial. Shrimp Sat in a butter sauce which was Covered in what appeared to be dried parsely -yuk, corn was plain with no butter, my kids don't like seafood so they had cheeseburgers. Food was average, scenery was nice, but I wouldnt go out of my way to venture back here on my next visit to ocmd

Not the first time in OC, but first time to Harrison's . 5 of us, best ribeye steak in a long time, perfectly cooked , tuna steak in basil cream sauce was great, chicken in lemon basil was great also, pasta dishes were very good, only disappointment was the plain over cooked veggies. Nice portion also. Expensive, but worth it for a nice dinner out with a spectacular view!

We found this place by walking down the boardwalk, walked in and as the hostess was about the sit us the phone rang and she took the call and helped them first. Then she sat us in Wanda's section. There were only two servers at the time and after we had been sat more people came in. So Wanda comes over finally and get our drink order and starts to take our order. Right in the middle of taking our order food comes out for one of her other tables and she leaves us to serve them. Okay, short handed, I get it. When she returns she begins to finish taking our order and when my husband misunderstood the menu and blanked on the sides provided, Wanda tells him which sides they have then says "as stated in the menu" coupled with an eye roll. Okay, she's stressed, not a problem. A four top gets seated behind us and when Wanda comes over they ask her for something (I think it was to split the check) and Wanda says, "I don't know if I can, we are really busy." They say it isn't a problem and place their order. Our food comes out and immediately my husband notices something wrong with his seafood pasta. After the third shrimp he refused to eat he asks me to smell the shrimp. It smelled like ammonia. I called Wanda over and told her the problem. She apologized and took the food back to be made again. When she brought the food back out "freshly made" she said, "I'm sorry about this, we have hired some new staff for the summer and they don't always check the dates on the food." My husband lost his appetite and when the check came Wanda said she took off his meal. Meanwhile, the four top of ladies behind us ordered their drinks and two of them ordered margaritas. One was on the rocks and the other was blended. They sent both of the drinks back and asked Wanda "Did they put any mix in this? It doesn't taste right." Wanda says "I don't know how they make it, do you want another one?" The ladies just ordered water. So, in short - PASS ON THIS PLACE!

Great service and awesome setting for the restaurant. Their crab dip was awesome, grilled salmon was done perfectly. Would have given them 5 stars but for lousy service at the bar, spare yourself and get a table instead!

This place was recommended by our hotel bartender. The menu was good... A lot of seafood options. A little pricey but for seafood that is expected. I got the seafood au gratin which was delicious. It had crab, clam, scallops, shrimp and a ton of cheese. He got the crab cakes and loved them. Unlimited sides with any entree. Red potatoes and vegetables were good and their bread was warm and delicious. The service was a bit slow and our waitress sent back our food before we got it bc it was "overlooked".... Not sure if that was true or not but it came out (after a long wait) wonderfully. We had clams on the half shell which was delish. Perfect fresh taste. We tried the natty bo beer for $2.50 per bottle... It's the local beer and their draught system wasn't working. I renamed it the Baltimore Budweiser. It was ok but not great. Service was good. Very friendly waitress. Food just took a bit too long.... But it was very tasty

Hands down the best crab cakes I've had in Ocean City! The rockfish was incredible as well. If you come in ask for Nick, he is knowledgeable and will guide you through the menu and will tailor the best option for you. It's worth the trip to eat here!

I might give 2 1/2 stars if I could because the server was very friendly and the food wasn't horrible, but we did not have a good experience. The tuna we ordered rare was served Medium-well, though I admit it was still tasty and I enjoyed it. Service seem to have completely forgotten us. Didn't refill our glasses oncee. We didn't get the check until most of our party had already walked out signaling that we were way, way done. And it was pretty expensive for what you got, which I suppose isn't too surprising given the very nice boardwalk location. However, when I pay that much for food I expect to get what I order and to have at least a decent experience. It's too bad because they have a very nice view. However, nothing was done very well beyond that.

We were seated at a window table at Harrison's Harbor Watch. The view of the waves crashing on the jetty at the inlet at the south end of Ocean City was almost worth the price of the check. This restaurant was recommended by a local and we took a shot by showing up on a Saturday night without a reservation. The wait for a table was estimated at a half hour and it took a bit over that but there are some nice shops nearby which we looked through before braving the raw bar crown to get some drinks. We had an exceptional waitress, who took our order and recommended a bottle of wine for us. We shared the pan-seared Ahi Tuna which was very fresh and served in a sweet Thai chili sauce. My wife ordered their famous crab cakes which were some of the best I ever tasted. They were mostly crab meat with barley enough bread crumb to bind them together and served with homemade tartar sauce. I tried a special which was a Cajon shrimp and sausage served on pasta. Not much good to say here. The shrimp were too chewy and the sausage and pasta had the life cooked out of them. We hadn't even finished our appetizer when our entrees arrived. It was too evident that they were trying to turn the tables over quickly. As the sun was setting a manager started raising the blinds to make use of the sun light but the windows were filthy on the outside and full of Sea Gull splattering. My other complaint is that the wine price was out of line. I am not about to write this place off without another try but I am not ready to recommend it either. I know it's a high volume place but taste the food, train your runners to make sure a course is cleared before serving the next, Double up on the wine but 3 times is greedy and wash the damn windows more often. A few easy corrections and I have a better experience.

This place is adorable and the food is good. The decor could use a serious Robert Irvine overhaul, but then it probably wouldn't have as much charm. The service was good and my side orders were endless. I had a scrumptious black ravioli. I was very satisfied.

Service was good but the food was horrible. Everything tasted like it came from the bottom of the freezer. I ordered the seafood pasta, my sister ordered the broiled scallops and my niece ordered the fried clam strips kids meals. Lets start with the bread basket. The corn bread muffins were cold and the white bread tasted like the bread they serve in school. Now onto the meals. The scallops were overcooked, the fries tasted like they were freezer burnt and my pasta was just plain horrible. I got the penne pasta with shrimp, scallops and crab in a tomato basil lobster sauce. The tomato basil lobster cream sauce had no flavor, all of the seafood tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for quite some time and the only thing that really had any taste to it were the tomatoes in the pasta. The bay scallops were rubbery, the shrimp beyond overcooked and the crab tasted like nothing. There was nothing good about my meal. This place is overpriced and overrated. You would think, being on the boardwalk, this would be a great place to eat. How are you going to be by the beach and your seafood taste like it was bought from the grocery store freezer isle? I would not come back to Harrison's. I was really looking forward to some good seafood and was extremely dissatisfied.

Years ago, we were frequent Harrison's customers, but had not been here for a couple of years so we were eager to see how the restaurant may have changed in that time. Start with the positives. The restaurant gives you your money's worth. Wines by the glass are a generous pour at a very reasonable price. Entrees are not stingy. Each of our plates contained more than we could eat. Harrison's also continues to offer unlimited side dishes with your meal. The service was friendly and attentive. As much as I wish we could give the restaurant a wholehearted recommendation, though, we can't. Two of us had the garlic shrimp pasta which, when we came here previously, was an outstanding dish with six or seven large shrimp and a memorable sauce for which you wanted to return over and over again. Now, the dish has more shrimp but they definitely taste frozen out of a bag, not fresh, and the sauce is a pale, not particularly pleasant, imitation of its former self. Also, my daughter's medium rare steak came out a very grey, unappealing well done. When she sent it back, it took much longer than it should have to get a new steak brought to the table -- especially since the restaurant wasn't at all busy. On that note, we were there on a Friday night. It used to be that Harrison's was packed on a weekend evening. On this occasion, it wasn't even half-full. I wonder if word has gotten around that the food quality has noticeably slipped.

Best restaurant we have been to in Ocean City this summer. Free parking directly underneath the restaurant and a great view upstairs of the inlet. Our kids loved watching the boats and jet skis come through the inlet during dinner. The entrees and prices are much better than other nearby seafood restaurants. Our favorites on the menu: -Seafood Chowder -Calamari -Mussels -Grilled Tuna on a Caesar Salad Side dishes with all entrees are endless so you can order as many as you want. Recommend getting a reservation and asking to sit upstairs near the windows.

Ok so let me tell you about the wow factor....Thomas. Thomas is the wow factor!! This guy works the raw bar, he shucks, he serves, he cooks, he pours, and he conversates all while taking orders and ringing up checks. He alone is a good enough reason to go there time and time again!! If that isn't enough go for the very reasonable prices. If that still doesn't do it for you them go for the great seafood!!! But no matter what you must go!! The oysters were excellent, the shrimp was really well prepared and delicious, the oyster shots were awesome and tasted like super bloody Mary drinks with an oyster in it!! The space is well kept for an old place. Getting a seat at the bar is the best but you can sit anywhere to enjoy the food. It's located at the end of the boardwalk so if you are down there then go! I can't say it enough....go here!!!!!!!!!

First the view of the inlet is spectacular! The ambience is comfortable and cozy perfect for casual beach attire or even dress up scale but not formal! Our waitress Alex was friendly and attentive! I had the grilled Swordfish in a tomato basil cream sauce with wild rice and a vegetable medley. The wife had Pasta with shrimp and hot Italian sausage in a buttery cheese sauce. She ended up bring more than half home since the portion was large! I tasted a bit of this this is on the spicy- hot side for those who prefer lighter spice dishes it would be too hot! The Swordfish was tender and flaky just the way you would expect it at a shore restaurant and the cream sauce was just a light compliment with the tomatoes and a couple if shrimp y To give you a perfect mix of flavors! All in all a great first visit to Harrison's Harbor watch but not a last visit! A good place to go for a night out to get away from the kids!

I was really looking forward to eating here, because of the spectacular view and the general ambiance. That is what makes my experience more of a disappointment! The food was completely sub par for the prices charged. I've literally had better shrimp at my local diner. Even the vegetable medley seemed like a limp offering from the grocer's freezer. The only thing I really enjoyed were the potatoes, and that was because you really really had to try had to screw up red skinned potatoes! My wife thought the pasta was fine but I thought it was doughy and overcooked. Personally, I do not enjoy paying that kind of price for food that would shame lesser restaurants.

My husband and I stopped in for our first oysters of the season on a bartender's recommendation and we were not disappointed. The oysters were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the cream of crab soup. There was a ton of crabmeat and it wasn't bad but it tasted like something was missing from it. I wouldn't order it again. The view of the inlet is gorgeous and I will come back for dinner sometime. If you're looking for oysters this is your place.

My review only focusing on their service not the food. Because I felt so humiliated that I just loss my appetite. Last Sunday four of us walked in and excited to try out this restaurant. Host was pretty nice by telling us that if we want to have a window seat we could wait for around 10 min and they will seat us in. So we think to have a drink at the bar while we were waiting. We went to the bar and tried to order some drinks. Bartender asked to check our ID. Yes, no problem since I understood how we Asians look younger than our real age. Me & my friends, we took out our "Employment Authorization Card" which is a legal document that provided by the US Government. But I guess either bartendar never seen this kind of document before or he just tried to give us a hard time. He told us: by law of Maryland, we can only get a drink by showing our passport. Otherwise, he said, I am sorry I can't help you. (only our passports) (who will bring their passport everywhere while traveling domestic?) He didn't ask for manager's help or try to confirm with the manager, he just simply don't want to deal with it. So my bf asked the host for the manager, she took our ID & checked on their some sort of guidebook. At the end, telling us, yes we are good cuz our ID are legit according to their guidebook. That's all what she said. I felt so humiliate since everyone is looking at us like we are some kind of aliens. I don't think this is the right way to treat customers even though we are not American. I think we should have the same equal treatment like every other customers.

Views are absolutely to die for....and the food i just fine. Experience largely depends on where you're seated -- a booth with a view is about as good as it gets - the more crowded end room still has the view, but isn't as nice. Still a must-go for OC - especially at sunset.

This dining experience was just ok hence the three stars. I'd say Harrisons is a couple notches above a Red Lobster; massed produced seafood at an elevated price. I had originally planned to go to Hooked but had no intentions of waiting over an hour for a meal, so Harrison's was Plan B. Ambiance; nice location at the end of the boardwalk overlooking the inlet; very crowded given the limited number of decent recents in that part of town. Service; good. Asked server Courtney for recommendations and she suggested their signature crab cakes; I had been eyeing the crab topped blackened rockfish but decided to go with the recommendation. Food: None of the appetizers jumped out at me. I had wanted some calamari, but having it served covered in a parmeasan butter cream sauce was not my thing, just way too heavy. I went for the basic house side Caesar salad as the opener. The entrees are served with unlimited sides so I ordered the crab cakes with your standard fries/coleslaw accompaniments and an add on order of snow crab claws. The crab cakes were not bad; they were broiled as opposed to fried, had decent flavor but nothing outstanding. I will give them point for portion size though, almost baseball sized. The crab claws were standard as were the fries and slaw but I was thoroughly full at the end of the meal.

Let me start by highlighting the positive-the view!!! Amazing panoramic, open view of the harbour!!! I had friends visiting from out of state and we decided to stop in for some drinks and oysters. The drinks are over priced ($6 for a Sam Adams draft-on a Sunday) and oysters were about $1-$2 depending on the type. My main issues are the raw bar set up. I watched the 2 bartenders bounce betweeeln shucking and serving without washing hands. I also witnessed 1 girl spill part of her MILK based Starbucks bottled beverage INTO THE ICE that they scope for drinks and DO NOTHING but say opps. So now you have raw fish hands scooping out ice with milk on it. GROSS AND UNSANITARY! 3 of us work in the service industry and couls not believe that nothing was being done. They also pass raw oysters through a service window that also drips into the ice. There is a bar cloth to catch things but it looked filthy. There also seemed to be multiple people working in the kitchen as well as employees back there eating-it was confusing. The bartenders however were very friendly and nice. I was just embarrassed that this was how I represented OC to visitors and will not be doing that again. If I go back it will only be for the view.

We had dinner with friends on Sept 18th @ 7PM. Not crowded. Nice view of the inlet. However the food was at best mediocre. My dish, Blacked Mahi Mahi was luke warm, my wife's stuffed shrimp was dry. Our friends dishes also looked dry. I would think the waitstaff left the food on the serving table too long or, since were were later in the day, everything was left over. Our service was just cursory and they seemed as if we were cutting into them leaving for the night. There are better choices for sea food or any other food in OC. Make another choice than here.

Very mediocre restaurant. It's a huge restaurant with a lot of interior space. Get a table near the window if you can. It's on the end of the boardwalk, right near the inlet parking lot, and arguably has the best view out of all the restaurants in OC. This restaurant was well recommended to me when I told people I was visiting Ocean City. I can see why--Ocean City just went downhill after leaving the restaurant. I think my parents had a heart attack walking around the boardwalk at night and seeing trashiness abound. The food was very salty. Even the lobster and blue crab were very salty. You get unlimited sides with each entree; they're not incredibly delectable or anything though. The food was reasonably priced to a little overpriced, but you can't blame them considering the view they're offering. Other patrons who were an eyesore to look at--and I mean mothers who would scream at their children and wear shorts so short no one should ever wear them outside of the bedroom. Our waitress was so busy covering two sections so she was out of breath and not very attentive. Wasn't expecting five star service anyway.

This review is for the RAW BAR only. One of the best kept secrets in OC is the HH Raw Bar where they'll make you fresh Oyster Stew - from scratch right in front of you. They'll shuck the Oysters fresh for each bowl and it takes about 20 minutes to make. Very rich, delicious and filling. as they use heavy cream. Take a stroll on the boardwalk when you're done, 'cause you'll need it.

I've been coming to OC for over 20 years and I've been going to Harrison's for most of that time. The food has always been mediocre at best, but the view has been what we go for. Tonight will be the last time. When we got there I tried to park in their lot and was told the first 2 hours were free, but after that it was $2.00/ hour afterwards. I thought no big deal. I'll move my car after dinner. We go in and find it to be 45 minute wait! To hell with that. By the time I'm finished, I'll be charged over $4.00 and city public parking was FREE! I've never had an issue with parking or anything from this place before, but that's it, I'm done.

Views are absolutely to die for....and the food i just fine. Experience largely depends on where you're seated -- a booth with a view is about as good as it gets - the more crowded end room still has the view, but isn't as nice. Still a must-go for OC - especially at sunset.

I had my rehearsal dinner here the night before the wedding. Besides the fact that they couldn't find record of our reservation, even though we scheduled four months in advance, the food and service was amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

When a restaurant has been in business for over 30 years, you know they must be doing something right. Been vacationing in OC for 10 straight summers..so happy we finally ate here! Location is awesome, at the end of the Ocean City Boardwalk on the inlet that links the bay to the ocean. View is breathtaking! The menu features a great variety of seafood. Other fare as well if seafood is not your thing. Great kids menu too. Not too pricy for a waterfront restaurant. Warm casual atmosphere with a nice bar featuring several TVS if you want to catch a game. Having a family with 3 kids it's great to have bottomless beverages and unlimited side dishes too. Food was delicious. Fresh with huge portions. Our server Sarah was fantastic. We will definitely be back next summer!

Overall it was good. Our main dishes where the famous crab cake and ahi Tuna. Both very tasty. They put all their energy in the main dishes for sure . I wasn't impressed with the unlimited sides selection. Veggies where overlooked and had no seasoning. Rice pilaf was alright. If they work on making the sides match the main dish quality. This would be a 4 star. View and service, magnificent!

Stopped here our first night in Ocean City for dinner. We arrived close to seven, but the place was almost completely empty. With it being so empty, you would think service would be great, but not so much. Waited way too long for our drinks. Had steamed clams and coconut shrimp as a meal. Clams were steamed. No seasoning. Nothing added. Bland and boring. Boyfriend had mussels which were wayyyyy better. He also got fish and chips. Batter was soggy but still tasted okay. Coleslaw was completely spoiled and could tell just by smelling it. Wish this place was better since it's walking distance to our hotel.

Not particularly impressed... This was my boyfriend's very first trip to the ocean - we had been planning this for years! After witnessing firsthand a pretty horrific motorcycle accident about 5 miles outside of Ocean City Boardwalk, we were in need of a stiff drink and some fresh seafood. We settled on this place because of the high Yelp reviews, and the fact that I wanted to sit down and collect my thoughts before heading to the beach. I ordered the Tilapia and my boyfriend ordered the Mahi Tuna. The presentation of our meals was uneventful, as my fish was served plain and without an inkling of dressing in a lukewarm skillet, and the French fries were neither hot nor fresh. All of this might have been forgiving had we not had a server that insisted on preaching to us about how god continues to save her boyfriend from motorcycle accidents despite his reckless attitude and demeanor. Bottom line: Overpriced and Overrated.

This place is adorable and the food is good. The decor could use a serious Robert Irvine overhaul, but then it probably wouldn't have as much charm. The service was good and my side orders were endless. I had a scrumptious black ravioli. I was very satisfied.

Great location, view of the inlet, friendly service, no waiting, good place for family. A little on the pricey side, but nice seafood selection. Dining room is large, so good place to go without reservations on a saturday night.

This place has a great location, high prices, but the food is prepared carelessly, served cold and overcooked. The food seems like it has all been sitting in a lukewarm heat lamp for hours. This was a bad choice for what should have been a lovely date night. The view is so nice that the poor food really is surprising.

Score!
